Handmade with love by me, Knits By Sarah is a sustainable knitwear brand based in Portland, Oregon. All knits are one-of-a-kind, durable, and incredibly cozy.
Sustainability
This is a slow fashion project. The fast fashion industry emits 1.2 billion tons of carbon pollution every year, and 85% of fast fashion ends up in landfills. Fast fashion is environmentally and socially unsustainable. Slow fashion supports ethical, eco-friendly means of producing goods. All of my pieces are handmade to last.
Knits By Sarah is also a zero waste brand. I recycle the paper labels on any new skeins of yarn and all scraps of yarn are either incorporated into new pieces or to create hair scrunchies.
Pricing
Prices will vary depending on the request, but you can expect to spend around $150 for a standard pullover or cardigan.
Care
Try to avoid washing often, but you can machine wash your knits on a low, cold setting and then air dry.
Freshen up your garment by spraying with water and a few drops of your favorite essential oil, then air dry.
